Election 2008 Update

According to our sources Democratic front runner Hillary Rodham Clinton (NY), has been meeting with leading Democrats from her home state. She is feeling out support for her suspected presidential bid, an adviser to the senator says "part of that process is seeking the advice and counsel of her colleagues in New York." Furthermore Clintons staff has been interviewing and meeting with possible campaign staffers all last week, and more meetings have been scheduled for this week. Since the 2006 Campaign trail Clinton has been saying "she would be considering a presidential run," I think we have past the consideration stage. An announcement of her candidacy is expected by the years end or very early 2007.

CNN.com reports "Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh, a Democrat with a record of political success in a Republican-leaning state, intends to take the first official step toward a 2008 presidential campaign early next week, officials said Friday." He plans to establish an exploratory committee later this week. As well Bayh has scheduled appearance in Iowa and New Hampshire to of the key primary states for Democratic nominees.
